The HB series colored glass red filter is a cut-off filter. It absorbs the spectrum before a certain wavelength (600nm/610nm/630nm/640nm/650nm/670nm/680nm/685nm/700nm/720nm) and transmits the spectrum after it. For beams incident at different incident angles, the center wavelength of the filter remains unchanged. It is an economical long-wave pass filter.
Colored optical filters are cut-off filters. Please note:
1. The dimensions of all optical components are in mm.
2. The transmittance of the long-wave pass series filter is related to the cut-off wavelength and the actual thickness of the filter. Generally, the transmittance will be slightly reduced if the thickness is thicker, but the cut-off depth will be slightly increased.
3. This filter is a cut-off filter. The operating temperature should not exceed 100°. (If the operating temperature is between 100-200°, the lens needs to be tempered to improve temperature resistance. This filter is not suitable for applications with temperatures exceeding 200°.) It cannot be used for high-power laser applications.
4. This series has a variety of models, all of which transmit red light bands. Different models have different colors and different transmitted bands. Some models have very similar colors. Color should not be used as the basis for selection. Please determine the band that needs to be transmitted based on the actual application to select the appropriate model.
